Stop-the-Pop-Up Lite is a pop-up blocker, provided free of charge by EZ-Net, that helps in preventing most annoying pop-up windows from appearing as you surf the web. The pop-up stopper has full support for both pop-ups and pop-under ads and will kill them even before they appear on the screen. Each time a pop up is closed you will hear a cute sound effect. To allow pop-up windows you can temporarily disable the pop-up killer by holding Control, Shift or 'a' while you click.

How effective is Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite?

Stop-the-Pop-Up Lite is extremely effective in blocking annoying pop-up windows, but it is not perfect. In our estimation, it sucessfully blocks over 95% of pop-up ads - maybe even higher depending on what web sites are visited by the user.

Can Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite specifically block certain offensive materials, like pornography?

Stop-the-Pop-Up Lite cannot tell what a pop-up windows contains - just that a pop-up window was opened. When it detects that a window is being opened, it instantly closes it. What the pop-up ad contains has no bearing on how the ad is blocked.

How do I start using Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite?

1. Click here to begin installation - when the File Download window appears, select OPEN.
2. Once the file transfer is complete & installation begins, click on the SETUP button.
3. Click through the setup wizard to install Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite.
4. Once Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite is installed, you must start the program. To do so, click on Start -> Programs -> Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite and then click the Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite program icon.
5. The first time the program starts, you will be prompted for your email address. You can simply press the "No Thanks" button to continue. Read the dialog boxes as you click through the introduction.
6. Once you see the title screen that reads "Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite provided by EZ-Net", you are ready to enjoy the Internet with far less annoying pop-up ads. If you wish to have Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite start automatically when your computer starts, check the "Start automatically after reboot" option.
7. Click the "Minimize" button to hide Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite to your system tray. If you need to access the settings again, just click on the orange lightning bolt icon in your system tray to bring the screen back up.
8. Don't forget - you can temporarily disable Stop-The-Pop-Up Lite simply by holding down a Control or Shift key while you click, in the event that you want a pop-up ad to come through.
