The Buddhists say that only through the act of enlightenment can one find a blessed state that is marked by the absence for a desire of things and money will you obtain the wisdom of good judgment and begin to understand the meaning of life.

If you reject traditional social ideas and the emphasis on trying to obtain happiness through buying it with material things you may then begin to focus a light on the right path towards that end.

Very few have the discipline or the will power to do those things that are necessary to obtain true happiness. And fewer still will heed the wisdom of what wise ones say on how to obtain it.

The secret of finding true happiness will come to you only if you have the maturity of mind to seek the underlying ideas behind it, and only if you have a strong desire to want it.

Most simply don't have the motivation or patience to do any long term exercise in working for it. The majority of the masses seek instant gratification and think that the only way to obtain happiness is through the possession of material things.

Few will accept the idea that no amount of wealth or material things will bring happiness.

Trying to tell others that one will find true happiness through obtaining those things that do not cost money will fall on deaf ears.

Trying to tell others that one will find true happiness through the hard work of obtaining some goal that will cost them time and hard work to obtain it will just be ignored.

Only those who had the presence of mind and good judgment to work in a long hard struggle, sacrificing their time spending untold hours, facing adversity and many disappointment and then finally achieving that goal will have experienced true happiness.

The high and the rush that they experienced after they obtained their goal can not be expressed in any words to others, and few can appreciate what that feels like unless they have felt it too.

The secret to happiness is unfolded unto to those in a subtle way when they begin to understand through their experiences of obtaining goals that the harder it is to obtain and the more time it takes to obtain a goal then the greater is going to be the level of happiness that you will experience when you finally achieve it.
