About Ner-Farms

When owner James Nerenhausen first started NER-FARMS, the cattle of choice was Texas Longhorns. We still maintain a small herd of longhorns, however the main focus of our beef operation for some years now has been registered Black Angus cattle.

NER-Farms LLC, located near the shore of Lake Michigan in Northeast Wisconsin, is now home to one of the largest Angus herds in the state.  Over time, we have also introduced Red Angus cattle to the operation. In 2002, we added two outstanding Brown Swiss dairy cows to our Donor lineup.

Through an extensive AI and Embryo Transfer program, NER-Farms is able to offer breed-leading genetics from some of the most prestigous cow families in the industry.  The staff at NER-Farms would be happy to welcome visitors and to respond to any inquires about your cattle, embryo, or semen needs.
