The Living Viking

During the millenial year, we were fortunate to have as a guest, Magnus Hrolf, The Living Viking. Magnus brings his artifacts and carefully researched replicas of viking artifacts with him wherever he goes. He also has researched viking lifestyles. By the way, vikings did not wear helmets with horns!

Magnus is prepared for the day-to-day life of a Viking. He is dressed in simple homespun material dyed with berry juices for color. His axe is useful for both woodworking and defending his campsite. Behind him is a framed tent that can be erected in minutes. Also, the raised cooking 'pit' is ready for use. A replica viking ship owned by Don LIndgren is in the background.

Don's boat is a 1/3 size replica of a viking trading vessel. He has modified it somewhat to be more like an actual viking boat. However, it does have a motor and modern safety devices to conform with current boating regulations. The boat can be used as a sailing vessel when the deck tent is not pitched.
